MP fights to save historic bridge

Gavin Williamson MP for South Staffordshire has called on Staffordshire County Council to take action to help save the historic road bridge that goes over the Bratch Locks on Bratch Lane in Wombourne. 

MP launches Jobs Fair

Gavin Williamson MP for South Staffordshire launched the Essington Jobs Fair on Friday 13th January.  This was attended by a number of local employers with a number of new jobs advertised. 

MP secures debate on Motorway Noise

Gavin Williamson MP for South Staffordshire has secured a debate in Parliament on reducing road noise on the M54 motorway at 1:30pm on Tuesday 17th January.  This follows concerns raised by residents following the approval of the new Jaguar Land Rover factory on the i54 business park. 

MP to raise M54 Road Noise issue in Parliament

Gavin Williamson MP for South Staffordshire has called for the Government to take action to reduce road noise from the M54 Motorway.  This follows questions that Gavin Williamson has already put to Ministers on the subject as a result of major investment by Jaguar Land Rover on the i54 site. 

Fight to Save Boulton Paul Museum Continues...

Gavin Williamson MP for South Staffordshire has recently held talks with General Electric to see what can be done to save the Boulton Paul Museum.  General Electric own the site of the old Boulton and Paul Factory which is located on Wobaston Road in Bilbrook. 

MP calls for no further prisons to be built in South Staffordshire

Following the recent announcement that the new prison in Featherstone is to be called HMP Oakwood Gavin Williamson MP for South Staffordshire has called for no further prisons to be built in South Staffordshire.  Gavin Williamson MP has written to Crispin Blunt MP, Parliamentary under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice with responsibilities for Prisons and Probation and he has spoken to the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice the Rt. Hon. Kenneth Clarke MP about the matter.

MP says no to proposed incinerator

Gavin Williamson, Member of Parliament for South Staffordshire, has called on Wolverhampton City Council to reject plans for an incinerator to be built just off the A449.
