Gavin fights Proposed development on Landywood Lane

Plans have been submitted to build 136 houses on greenbelt land off Landywood Lane, similar to those that were proposed in 2013. I believe that these proposals will not only threaten the identity of the villages of Great Wyrley and Cheslyn Hay but irreversibly damage our greenbelt.

Stop DX Freight Super Hub in Essington

Plans were submitted to build a DX Freight Super Hub in Hobnock Road, Essington. I believe that the building of the Super Hub would have increased noise, sound and air pollution, having an impact upon the quality of life of residents in Essington.

Save Our Fire Stations

Gavin campaigned against proposals to close Fire Stations in Kinver, Brewood and Codsall after Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service announced proposals to downgrade the stations.

Campaigning against additional Traveller pitches

The fight to protect our green belt land has been one of Gavin's key campaigns since his election in 2010. He regularly speaks in debates in the House of Commons and Westminster Hall on the issue and has campaigned on local radio for the additional pitches required to be disbanded.
