Commenting on the announcement, Gavin said: “Under Labour our area lost out on decent investment in roads. Today’s announcement of £442 million of investment for roads in the West Midlands will help to deliver the modern infrastructure we need locally.”
“Here in South Staffordshire people will benefit from the money that is being invested in improvements to junctions on the M54 and M6.”
“This is fantastic news for people in South Staffordshire. It will give a welcome boost to the economy, supporting 920 jobs in the wider region. It will also cut congestion and reduce journey times, helping the hardworking people who use the roads every day.”
