Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, is campaigning to protect homes in Perton, following renewed flooding in the area.
Gavin first met with the County Council and Severn Trent, last year, to discuss the issue, after residents’ homes were flooded during a period of heavy rain.
Action was taken at the time to improve the drains but, in the wake of yet another local incident, Gavin is arguing that more still needs to be done.
Gavin will once again be contacting the County Council and Severn Trent to see that the matter is finally resolved and to ensure that effective action is taken to protect residents’ homes.
Speaking of the flooding, he said: "Obviously, not enough has been done. Action needs to be taken urgently to ensure that people are not struck for a third time by these dreadful floods."
