Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire has visited Kinver on Small Business Saturday to encourage constituents to shop locally and support their local shops
Small Business Saturday is an opportunity to celebrate the thousands of small, independent businesses in South Staffordshire and to encourage communities to shop local and support business owners.
To highlight the occasion, the MP for South Staffordshire has visited a number of local shops around Kinver, including Willie and Ollie, Café No 5, Daniel James Photography, Bills Pharmacy and Village Greens, to incentive consumers in the area to shop locally and help transform the high-streets, not just in Kinver but also across South Staffordshire, into thriving centres where small businesses can grow.
The Conservative Government is committed to helping these same businesses to build back better from the pandemic. So far, the Government has provided over £407 billion of economic support throughout the pandemic including over £100 billion in business loans. In addition to over £600 million worth of Start Up Loans to provide funding to entrepreneurs and small businesses owners.
Gavin said: “I was impressed by the resilience and entrepreneurial spirit shown by local shops in Kinver. I know that their hard work was what kept them afloat during the hard months of the pandemic. As we move forward, I hope we can all continue to support these small businesses by shopping locally across Kinver and South Staffordshire”.
