Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, visited Iverley Park Pre-school last week
Last Friday, 20th of August, Gavin met students and teachers at the Iverley Park Pre-School to visit the facilities and hear about their experiences. The MP joined the children in some of their every-day tasks, from completing puzzles to planting in their playground garden.
The Headteacher, Kirsty Mills, said: “We had a really great morning. Gavin helped us with our garden and helped the children to plant, and we had a chat about what we’ll be doing with the Early Years. He really liked the tranquillity of the set and how it helps the children. It was really lovely to have him and hopefully, he’ll come back in Spring to see the progress.”
Gavin said: “Iverley Park has such a welcoming and calm environment which is incredibly beneficial for these young children. I was delighted to join children and staff in the garden and see how from such an early age they are learning the fundamental values of cooperating and helping each other.”
