Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, has been pushing Staffordshire County Council for road surfacing improvements in the constituency
Gavin has been contacted by several residents who are very concerned about the state of footpaths and roads in their areas. In response to this, Gavin, Councillor Mike Davies and Councillor Mark Sutton have been contacting the County Council on a regular basis in order to push this work forward.
As a result, improvements are currently taking place on Lindale Drive in Wombourne and School Lane in Coven. Further work is due to take place in September on Walsall Road in Great Wyrley and Silver Birch Drive in Kinver.
Commenting on the work, Gavin said: "I am continually calling for improvements to our roads and I am very happy to see that there will be several improvements made this month in parts of Wombourne and Coven.
"I am constantly in contact with Staffordshire County Council to push for road improvements and I will continue to put pressure on them in the hope that further work can be undertaken.”
