Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, visited the Forget-Me-Not Club in Codsall on the 30th July.
Gavin met with members at the club’s premises on Station Road, where he discussed issues ranging from a need for more public toilets through to improvements to local shopping facilities.
He also gave a talk about his work as an MP, his duties at No. 10 Downing Street and prepping the Prime Minister for Prime Minister’s Questions.
Gavin said: “I greatly enjoyed my visit to the Codsall Forget-Me-Not Club. It was wonderful to be able to meet all the members and hear their views on possible improvements that could be made in the local area.
“The Codsall Forget-Me-Not Club is a wonderful local organisation, which provides local residents with an excellent opportunity to meet with their neighbours and take part in regular social activities. We are extremely lucky to have a group of this type in the village.”
The Codsall Forget-Me-Not Club is a social group for the over 55s. Members are able to take part in monthly coach trips, listen to Speakers, play Bingo and go out for meals.
