Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, visited Saporous Foods, a dynamic local business in Wombourne.
On Friday, Gavin visited Saporous Foods, a Wombourne business specialising in the manufacture and wholesale distribution of handcraft bakery products to restaurants, pubs, hotels, and caterers.
Saporous Foods stock over 300 bakery products, with the majority made in the UK by artisan manufacturers.
During his visit, Gavin met the owners, Charlotte and Wayne Porter, to learn more about the business and how companies in the sector have been affected during the pandemic.
Wayne said: “Gavin’s assistance and guidance coming out of the pandemic has been invaluable. In his recent visit he shared his point of view as an MP of how we can recover as a country. It is always great to see our local MP supporting local businesses.”
Gavin said: “As we emerge from the pandemic, now more than ever it is vital that we support local businesses. It was fantastic to visit Saporous Foods and to learn more about their work, as well as having the chance to sample some of their delicious products.”
