Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire and Secretary of State for Education, recently visited Juniper Training at Hilton Cross Business Park
Following a meeting with the trainers, Gavin then sat down with students and listened to their journeys as apprentices, trainees, and pupils.
Juniper Training has been operating for over 35 years, and offers traineeships, apprenticeships, and a 16-19 study programme. The organisation works with over 300 employers, and students are supported to pursue a variety of career paths, including Business Administration, Construction, Customer Service, Retail, Childcare and Health & Social Care.
Ben, one of the students who progressed from the Building Futures programme onto a Roofing apprenticeship said “he was really down to earth, interested in what we were doing and wanted to hear about the support we have been provided at Juniper, especially with achieving our maths and English and gaining an apprenticeship”.
Gavin said: “I am always delighted to see first-hand the incredible work that independent training providers like Juniper Training do to support Britain’s future generations. Since 1983 they have supported over 2000 students per year across 13 delivery sites making a real contribution to raising the level of skills across the country.”
