Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, has called on the Chief Executive of Network Rail to take action over noise complaints from residents in Great Wyrley.
Gavin has received a number of complaints surrounding the late night maintenance work and which is plaguing local residents who live nearby.
Complaints have also arisen over the negative impact that these operations are having in terms of parking and disruption to both residents and local shops in the area.
Gavin has called on the Chief Executive of Network Rail to take some action to ensure that residents that live close to the affected area are no longer disturbed.
Commenting on the situation Gavin said: “A number of residents have contacted me regarding the noise caused by the improvement works on the railway line. I am extremely concerned about the effect that it is having on residents in nearby homes and I have urged National Rail to see if there is anything that they can do to reduce the disturbance that is plaguing residents and I will continue to push for a resolution."
