MP helps to roll out the barrell.

Gavin Williamson MP for South Staffordshire, helped roll out the barrel recently as part of preparations for Kinver Country Fayre which is due to be held on 19th June 2011.

MP attends Proms in the Barn to present cheque to Mercians

Gavin Williamson, Member of Parliament for South Staffordshire, recently attended Proms in the Barn at Shelfields, Lower Penn, near Wombourne.  He was pleased to present a cheque alongside Mrs Boucher, who organised the event, to the Mercian Benevolent Fund earlier today.  The Mercian Regiment’s Band played during the proms. 

MP helps Wombourne High Flyers take off

Gavin Williamson, Member of Parliament for South Staffordshire, spent Saturday afternoon at Pegausus House in Elder Grove Wombourne to help Wombourne’s High Flyers run by Sheila Baker.  The aim of High Flyers is to create respite care and services for disabled adults. 

MP supports 'Send my Friend to School' campaign

Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire was handed an unusual petition of bunting by St Dominic’s School for Girls to raise awareness of the ‘Send my Friend to School’ campaign.  This has been brought together by hundreds and thousands of pupils and tutors in the U.K. who want the Government to keep its promise that every child can go to school no matter where they live in the world.

Staffordshire MPs Salute '1 Staffords'

Gavin Williamson MP for South Staffordshire joined other Staffordshire MPs to show their support for the 3rd Battalion of the Mercian regiment (the Staffords) which is currently serving in Afghanistan. 

MP Sees Work Start On New Moog i54 Site.

Work has begun on the first phase of a new 250,000 sq ft facility for aerospace group Moog at the i54 business park in South Staffordshire.  Gavin was delighted to join Moog for the ceremony where the President of Moog turned the first sod for the new facility which will house design, development and manufacturing operations for multiple aircraft flight controls programmes.  Moog is relocating its Wolverhampton operations from nearby Wobaston Road.

Jaguar Landrover should invest in South Staffordshire

Gavin Williamson MP for South Staffordshire explains why he believes that the i54 site would be a great site for Jaguar Landrover to invest in.Why are we all fighting to get Jaguar Land Rover to locate its new engine factory on the i54 business park? Well the 1,000 jobs that  it will create is one of the obvious answers but it is so much more than that. This investment would be a massive boost to the economy of not just South Staffordshire and Wolverhampton but the whole of Britain.
