Gavin Williamson MP for South Staffordshire has spent a day with NFU officials going around some of the many farms in South Staffordshire. Gavin visited farms from the south of his constituency in Enville and finished the day at a farm in Brewood.
Commenting on this Gavin Williamson MP said:
‘It was a very enjoyable visit around the farms and I found the day highly informative. So much of what the Government does can have positive and negative impacts on the farming community and so it was great to hear some of the concerns and issues straight from the farmers.’
Gavin Williamson MP has been campaigning on issues affecting farmers and earlier this year held a debate in the House of Commons on the issue of the Groceries Code Adjudicator, a new body that will make sure that farmers get a fair deal for their produce from supermarkets.
