South Staffordshire MP, Gavin Williamson was delighted to be able to spend some time visiting and volunteering at the Halfpenny Green Owl and Falconry Centre recently. Gavin Williamson MP returned to the centre to help raise awareness for the need of volunteers.
The Owl and Falconry Centre is a not for profit organisation and they rely on the support of regular volunteers and would love more people to get involved. While Gavin was at the centre he helped to clean out the bird baths and the animals perches. He also took the opportunity to check in on some newly hatched owls.
Commenting on his visit Gavin Williamson MP said:
‘The Owl and Falconry centre is a wonderful visitor attraction and all the money that is raised is ploughed straight back into saving more birds and looking after the ones in residence. There are so many different volunteering opportunities in South Staffordshire but this is a unique opportunity and I would encourage anyone interested to come and get involved. It was a pleasure to be able to help out and everyone should come and visit.’
