Gavin Williamson MP joined Father Christmas on Friday to switch on Kinver’s Christmas lights. Crowds gathered together to begin the season’s festivities in the heart of Kinver and Gavin Williamson was delighted to start it all off by switching on the lights.
There was live music performed and many street stalls were set up for people to visit and this celebration of Christmas drew in enormous crowds and the Kinver Rotary Club were able to raise money for many local charities.
Commenting on this Gavin Williamson MP said:
‘It was a real privilege to be asked to switch on the Christmas lights in Kinver but it was made all the better when Father Christmas arrived to help too. All the local businesses had put in so much effort towards decorating the shops beautifully for the Christmas period and everything came together to make this a great start to the Christmas season.’
On Friday 16th December there will be another late night opening of all the shops in Kinver.
