Gavin Williamson MP for South Staffordshire has expressed his outrage that a riding track could become a permanent feature on the Shoal Hill Quarry which is located in Huntington.
Gavin was distressed to hear that a riding track could be allowed to scar the landscape and so he has written to the Secretary of State at the Department for Communities and Local Government to see what action can be taken to protect this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. He is also working closely with the parish council to offer his support to their objections.
Commenting on this Gavin said:
'I think it is absolutely disgraceful that this beautiful area could be under threat. An area of outstanding natural beauty is simply not the right location for a track and I will be doing all I can to keep the momentum going to ensure that this fantastic area is protected rather than ruined for future generations. I will be doing everything possible to put a stop to this dreadful development.'
