Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, has welcomed the reopening of all of the South Staffordshire Leisure Centres.
South Staffordshire District Council has opened all four leisure centres from today. The centres in Codsall, Wombourne, Cheslyn Hay and Penkridge are now open. The gyms and exercise classes are open from today for members and from Monday 3rd August for the general public.
Sports halls, 3G pitches, toning suites and changing room facilities will temporarily remain closed and the council will announce when they will be set to reopen.
The council has uploaded new timetables for each of the gyms, which can be accessed from the gym website. If you want to check each timetable, click here https://www.sstaffs.gov.uk/leisure/
Each gym has implemented various safety measures including hand sanitiser stations, reduced class numbers and one-way systems.
Speaking of the opening, Gavin said: “It’s great news that the leisure centres have managed to set out clear guidance for the return of all of their gyms and exercise classes. They have gone to great length to ensure the safety of everyone who will attend and have implemented rigorous measures to protect everyone”.
