Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, visited Kinver High school to see the brand new sports hall being built.
Invictus Multi Academy Trust CEO Tony Bowles met with Gavin to discuss the new sports facility as well as the successes across both Kinver High and Wombourne High.
Gavin heard of the innovative ways that the Trust had been ensuring students who were self-isolating could still access lessons. Every classroom within Kinver High has been provided a webcam for students at home to login and listen to lessons.
The six schools across the Trust are all run independently but do follow a similar curriculum and work closely together to continue to achieve the best results and teaching standards.
Speaking of the visit, Gavin said: “It is great to hear of the fantastic achievements of Invictus Trust who are providing a fantastic education to so many in my constituency and around the Dudley region. I wish Tony and Invictus well and I’m looking forward to seeing their plans for the future”.
Discussing the meeting, Tony said: “It was a great pleasure to welcome Gavin to the Invictus Education Trust Headquarters here at Kinver High School. Following a tour of the construction site for Kinver High School’s new multi million pound sports centre I took the opportunity to share how proud I am to lead such an incredible team of students and staff here at Invictus”.
