Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, visited the Featherstone division of the Germany company Mann + Hummel last week.
Gavin met with Managing Director Harald Späth who gave him a tour of the factory, explaining in depth about the products and the service that they offer as well as the current challenges that the international automotive industry face.
The company, which operates in more than 70 locations across five continents, is a development partner and systems supplier to the international automotive and mechanical engineering industries.
As a global company, Mann + Hummel offer a number of opportunities for employees to travel to other factories across the world. They currently run a competitive Graduate Scheme which has a number of travel opportunities including an 18 month stint in Germany and also India. NVQ and PMO qualifications are also offered to employees.
In addition to formal qualifications, Gavin learned about the company’s ‘good employee scheme’ which offers several benefits including a reward and recognition programme and a popular bike to work scheme.
