Sir Gavin Williamson visited Converge Technology Solutions located at Acton Gate, to learn more about the company’s commitment to recycling equipment and protecting sensitive data.
Converge is a leading provider of IT solutions to the UK public sector as well as the private sector. The company also prioritises the recycling and upgrading of IT equipment and provides digital expertise to educational institutions and businesses.
The company also securely removes data from devices that were previously owned by the police or other security services.
As well as a tour of the site, Sir Gavin was given a demonstration of a state-of-the art machine that refurbishes laptops, adds missing keys, and re-prints letters as well as symbols.
