Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, visited Broyce Control, off Penn Road in Wolverhampton last week.
Broyce Contol is a manufacturer and worldwide exporter of electrical timers, relays, meters and protection devices for the process control industry.
Gavin met with the founder of the business Brian Gough and whose son David is the current General Manager.
Gavin spoke to the directors about the issues facing the electronic manufacturing industry and was given a guided tour of the factory and a demonstration of some of the products that the factory produces.
After his visit Gavin said: “I had such an interesting time meeting Brian and David at their factory. The family have built up a fantastic, successful local business exporting products right across the country. They are a great example of what our businesses can achieve with the right support. I was really interested to learn about the issues facing the electronic manufacturing industry. It is important that we do everything we can to support this vital sector. I look forward to hearing more about their success in the future.”
