Gavin Williamson attended Super Saturday organised by Wombourne’s Best Kept Village Committee
On the past Saturday, 24th of July, the MP for South Staffordshire met with Wombourne’s Best Kept Village (BKV) Committee at Wombourne Village Hall, where he discussed the improvements made to the building.
During the visit, Gavin met with different constituents, including local villagers, junior litter patrollers, local business representatives and Duke of Edinburgh students. The visit to the village to mark High Street Rejuvenation Day took place during “Super Saturday” which encourages residents to shop locally on High Street Rejuvenation Day.
Initiatives to energise local communities and supporting small businesses are crucial to building back better. As we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, investment into local areas will contribute to local economic growth across the United Kingdom, Levelling Up the whole country to ensure that no community is left behind.
