Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, encourages residents to comment on the Stage 2 consultation before the 30th August.
The Stage 2 consultation for the West Midlands Interchange proposal, led by Four Ashes Ltd, will end on the 30th August. After this date, Four Ashes will consider all responses received during the consultation and will then finalise their proposals. Following this, they will submit an application to the Planning Inspectorate for a Development Consent order later this year (or early 2018).
Gavin encourages all concerned residents to complete their feedback forms during this period, although you will still be able to comment on the plans once the application has been submitted.
Commenting on the proposal, Gavin said: "The Stage 2 Consultation for the West Midlands Interchange proposal will end next week. I strongly urge you to submit your comments now if you haven't done so already.
We need to ensure that our voices are heard loud and clear during this consultation. As I have said repeatedly, this development will have a devastating effect on out green belt and environment, as well as jeopardising the unique and distinct identity of our villages.
After viewing the updated proposal, it is clear that South Staffordshire does not want or need what Four Ashes Ltd are offering and, for that reason, I will continue to fight to protect our villages."
