Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, has today opened a brand new state of the art nursery in Essington.
Kelly Tots Nursery will officially open its doors on Monday 7th September and Gavin was invited down to cut the red tape to officially open the nursery.
During the visit, Gavin got to see the various educational equipment that will be available to children, as well as the stringent social distancing measures that have been put in place for next week’s open day.
Gillian Kelly, the owner of Kelly Tots has launched the playgroup after totally revamping the site at Essington’s Community Centre.
Gavin met with Gill, also a Parish Councillor for Essington and Chair of South Staffordshire District Council, Kath Williams, to discuss the vital need for another nursery in Essington.
After opening the nursery, Gavin said: “I was absolutely delighted to be invited down to open this brilliant nursery. Gill and her team should be extremely proud of the work they have done in renovating the space and the outcome looks wonderful. It is so refreshing to see this in Essington, and I know that the local children will massively benefit from this”.
During the visit, Gillian said: “I was delighted to welcome Gavin to our nursery, and I know that he was thrilled to be a part of this special occasion. We are all very excited for our grand opening on Monday and we are especially looking forward to opening our doors to children and their families”.
