Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, recently gave pupils in the sixth form from St Dominic’s Brewood, a tour of the Houses of Parliament.
Pupils enjoyed a tour of the House of Commons, the Central Lobby and the Members’ Lobby. Pupils were also given the chance to ask Gavin questions about his role in Parliament, both as an MP and as Secretary of State for Defence.
Speaking about the day, Gavin said ‘’It was a real pleasure to be able to show students around the Palace of Westminster. It is always fantastic when young people show an interest in politics and I was really pleased to have the chance to answer some of their questions about my job. I hope that the students enjoyed their time at Parliament’’.
