Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, got into the festive mood at St John’s Church Christmas Fete in Essington last weekend.
The Fete, which raised money for the St John’s Church took place on Saturday and saw the community come together to begin the festive season in Essington.
There was a wide range of stalls which sold a variety of homemade items ranging from Christmas decorations to cakes and biscuits and Christmas Chutneys.
Gavin said: “I had a fantastic time at the St John’s Christmas Fete this weekend. It was a wonderful start to Christmas celebrations in Essington and great to see people of all ages enjoying the afternoon together, getting into a festive mood. I was especially impressed to see so many youngsters running stalls, particularly the cake stall which I overindulged in. I would like to thank those who organised this event and hope that a lot of money was raised for a fantastic cause.”
