Soil left by Cadent Gas in Oaken Park

Sir Gavin Williamson has called for an immediate end to Cadent Gas’ soil dumping in Codsall.

Sir Gavin has been made aware of large amounts of soil being deposited on public pavements and private land in Oaken Park.

Numerous residents have complained about the work, citing large trucks blocking the road and dumping earth and equipment on both the street and private land. Cadent Gas have said they are looking into the matter.

Sir Gavin said: “Everyone deserves a clean neighbourhood, and whilst I recognise the essential nature of Cadent Gas’ work, it should not cause unnecessary disruption to the residential area. It is vital that Cadent Gas work rapidly to address this behaviour and I will be sure to follow their progress closely.”
