Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, has called on the Chief Executive of the Highways Agency to improve the road markings on the A460/M54 roundabout.
Local residents have contacted Gavin, concerned about both the visibility and the speed of drivers coming off the M54 on to the A460 and then the accidents that occur as a result.
The Council has raised the issue of road markings being worn away and has called on the Highways Agency to improve the section of road to reinforce the markings.
Gavin has previously campaigned to have the M54 tarmacked in order to reduce the noise coming from the M54 and raised the issue in Parliament.
Gavin said: “I have called on the Highways Agency to ask if there would be any possibility of improved road markings on this sections of the road. My biggest concern is the safety of local residents using this roundabout, therefore I believe that adequate measures must be taken to ensure the safety of drivers is protected.”
