Sir Gavin Williamson attended Stone Traders’ AGM and social event as he continues to offer support to businesses across Staffordshire.
Stone Traders are a group of business owners who work together to promote the retail offering in the town, encourage footfall, and think of new ways to reinvigorate the centre to attract more visitors.
The AGM and social event, took place at Artisan Boutique on 10th April, and provided an opportunity to discuss shared aims, community events, and to support independent businesses as consumer habits evolve.
Jamie Richards, Chairman of AED Donate said: “The evening was valuable and well-attended by members of our local business community. We were also honoured by the presence of Sir Gavin Williamson MP.
“While high streets across the UK continue to face significant challenges, our own is a hidden gem – a vibrant blend of independent businesses and respected national retailers and full of events for the community to attend.
“The sense of community, resilience, and pride in Stone was clear to see. We are committed to continuing our work together to champion and support traders that make our high street such a unique and special place.
Sir Gavin said: “I was delighted to attend Stone Traders’ AGM and social event. It was thoroughly enjoyable to hear of the exciting plans Traders and community groups have for Stone.
“Stone has a unique history with a vibrant retail offering and a vast array of unique businesses. There is a lot to celebrate and be proud of and I am grateful to the Traders as well as the respective community groups for all they do to boost the local economy and engage with the community.
“I am committed to supporting Traders and organisations to ensure that Stone remains a vibrant town to live and work in.”
