Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, attended this year’s Pattingham Summer Fete on Saturday. The event, which is St. Chad’s Church’s biggest annual fundraiser, took place on Pattingham Playing Fields.
Other attractions at this year’s fete included plant stalls, raffles, a bouncy castle, face painting, and musical guests.
All funds raised go towards the maintenance of the church in order for it to remain open.
Gavin said: “It is always great to see the community rally around events such as this. The church plays a hugely important role in the local area and relies upon the support of residents in the local area to continue to remain open. The money raised from this fete will go towards ongoing renovations to the building. I always enjoy attending the fete especially since we were blessed with fantastic weather. It was a brilliant day and all the visitors seemed to be greatly enjoying the wide variety of entertainment on offer.”
