Gavin attends Macmillan Coffee Morning in Pattingham

Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, attends coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support

Gavin joined with local residents to raise money for Macmillan’s Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning, where this year residents managed to raise £1335. The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is an annual event run by Macmillan Cancer Support. Thousands of people across the country get involved every year to raise money for the charity.

Speaking about the event, Gavin said ‘‘I was so pleased to be able to attend a Macmillan Coffee morning this year – it is always an event I really look forward to as not only do I get to spend time with my constituents, but we are also able to raise awareness and funds for a really worthwhile cause. I was really impressed to see the amount of work that had been put into the event this year and I was delighted to hear that over £1000 was raised for Macmillan. It is a fantastic charity and I know that the funds will ensure that no one has to suffer from cancer alone.’’
