'I am delighted to hear the fantastic news that the cheque has been saved.  I have had many constituents raise their concerns about this issue and I am incredibly pleased that following pressure from the Government, MP's and everyone who made their voices heard on this that the cheque is here to stay.  I think that we should say particular thanks to Mark Hoban MP who is the Minister responsible for putting an immense amount of pressure on the payments council to reverse the decision that they made previously and I thoroughly welcome this good news.'

Now that the cheque is here to stay Gavin Williamson MP hopes that many of his constituents can enjoy putting their minds to rest on this one.
