Gavin Williamson MP for South Staffordshire has met with Prisons Minister Jeremy Wright MP to seek assurances over residents concerns about the category of prisoners in the open part of HMP Featherstone.

MPS to demand action on Beer Duty Escalator

Gavin Williamson MP, Andrew Griffiths MP and Greg Mullholland MP will meet with Sajid Javid MP, Economic Secretary to the Treasury tomorrow afternoon to call on the Government to reverse the Beer Duty Escalator.

MP criticises Prisoner Gripes

Gavin Williamson MP has criticised the complaint form system in place at Featherstone prison.  Almost 2,000 grumbles were lodged by prisoners in the South Staffordshire prison in 12 months, new figures have shown. 

MP calls for police rethink

South Staffordshire MP, Gavin Williamson has called upon Staffordshire Police to rethink their recent decision to no longer provide temporary road blocks for village carnivals.  This decision could impact negatively upon the whole of South Staffordshire.
