Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, took part in Kinver’s annual Dray Day event, over the weekend.
Dray Day takes place, each year, in advance of the Kinver Country Fayre. A traditional horse and dray takes beer to various venues throughout the village.
Gavin accompanied the cart, on Saturday, and helped to unload the beer at each stop along the route.
The horse and dray left Kinver at approximately 11.30am in the morning, before heading off to deliver beer to Kinver Community Centre (KSCA), Constitutional Club, Vino Off License, The Cross and Dunsley Hall.
The Dray also called at Kays Butchers to collect provisions to take to the Rock Houses. To mark the occasion, the Butchery was selling sausages made with Kinver ale.
Gavin said: “The Kinver Country Fayre is one of the best fairs in the whole of Staffordshire and the surrounding area, and was great to join Kinver Brewery, along with the other organisers, in helping them get prepared for what will be another fantastic country day out.
“I also very much enjoyed the opportunity to down a swift pint from one of the finest breweries in the country.”
The Kinver Country Fayre will take place on Sunday 16th June. On the day, a beer tent will feature local ales from the Kinver and Enville breweries.
