Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire will be giving a talk to the Wombourne’s Women’s Institute on his journey from pottery to politics.
The event, which will take place on April 3, in Wombourne High Street, will see Gavin discuss his role as an MP and the work that he undertakes on a daily basis, both in his constituency and in Westminster.
On the talk, Gavin said: “This is the first time that I will be addressing the Wombourne Women’s Institute and I am honoured to have been invited to speak on this occasion.
“I very much looking forward to meeting the individual members of the group, who I know do much sterling work in Wombourne and the surrounding community.”
Before entering Parliament, in 2010, Gavin worked in the manufacturing sector. During this period, he successfully turned around a struggling pottery in Staffordshire and became the Managing Director of an architectural design firm, which was involved in the design of many schools, public sector and commercial buildings.
