Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, has given a warm welcome to news that recorded crime in Staffordshire has fallen over the last twelve months.
The latest figures from the independent Office for National Statistics show that recorded crime in Staffordshire fell by seven percent over the past year.
Gavin said: “The news that crime is falling in Staffordshire will be warmly welcomed by local people. Our hardworking police officers in Staffordshire can be proud of their success.
“Because Conservatives are on the side of people who work hard and do the rightthing, we are reforming the police so they can cut crime and make our communities safer. These figures are clear evidence that those reforms are working.”
