Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, visited Trysull Flower Festival at the weekend. The festival, which ran from 12th-15th June, took place at All Saints Church in Trysull.
The theme of the festival this year was “A Moment in Time,” with each display embracing the theme and depicting a significant moment in their lifetime. There were 28 arrangements on display with themes ranging from events from history to personal moments.
The festival was celebrated with a special Songs of Praise service on Sunday evening, with many of the flower arrangers in attendance.
In addition to the flowers there were stalls and refreshments at the vicarage on Saturday and Sunday and refreshments in Church on Friday and Monday.
Commenting on the flower festival Gavin said: “I had a wonderful time visiting the flower festival this weekend. Some of the displays illustrated some very moving and poignant times in life and they were fantastically represented. I would like to congratulate those that created this amazing displays and I look forward to seeing more in the future.”
