Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, visited Trysull and Seisdon Open Gardens last weekend.
The Open Garden Weekend held on 14th and 15th May was held to raise money for Trysull Church.
There were 10 gardens that were open to the public which visitors could see on their route through the two villages, with points of interest, stalls selling plants, produces and craft set out on the route.
Amongst the gardens were plots promoting wildlife, herbs, fruits, vegetables and many different views of the Staffordshire countryside. Each individual garden had a different focal feature with one garden providing an “I spy” garden quiz for the younger generation.
After his visit Gavin commented: “I had a wonderful time visiting the Open Gardens in Trysull and Seisdon. All of the gardens were so wonderfully kept and each one was so unique. I would like to congratulate all the gardeners for putting on such fantastic displays and Trysull Church for organising such a unique event.”
