Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire dropped in to Perton Library this week to meet the Slice of Life Group during their monthly meeting.
Slice of Life is an informal group of people who meet at the library once a month for a cup of tea or coffee, a slice of cake and a chat. They meet on the first Thursday of each month from 10.30-12.00.
Gavin said: “I greatly enjoyed my visit to the Slice of Life Group at Perton Library. It was wonderful to be able to meet all the members and chat about their concerns about their issues in the area.
“This is a wonderful local organisation, which provides Perton residents with an excellent opportunity to meet with their neighbours and take part in regular social activities. We are extremely lucky to have a group of this type in the village.”
