Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, has slammed the graffiti vandalism that took place at Salem Church, in Cheslyn Hay, last week.
On the night of November 7th, graffiti was spray painted across the church and a series of shops in the village.
It is the latest in a spate of incidents to occur in Cheslyn Hay, which have included car thefts, a store robbery and travellers setting up camp on a school car park.
Gavin will be getting in touch with the police, in order to highlight the concerns of local people.
Gavin said: “This was a totally disgusting act of vandalism. Whoever perpetrated this vile act on these stores and a religious building should be utterly ashamed of themselves.
“I hope that the police will bring these criminals to justice and that they will be appropriately punished for the upset and pain they have caused many people within the local community.”
