Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, met with the South Staffordshire First Responders to help celebrate the organisation’s ten year anniversary, on Friday.
Gavin took part in a photo shoot, with a number of the group’s supporters, in order to commemorate the occasion.
The South Staffordshire First Responder Scheme is a group of unpaid volunteers, who, with training from and under the control of the West Midlands Ambulance Service, are notified of medical emergencies in their area and agree to respond and provide emergency life support until the arrival of the Ambulance Service.
On his visit, Gavin said: “It was a massive honour to be invited to help celebrate the First Responders’ 10th anniversary with them and I greatly enjoyed being able to meet all the members of the group.
“The First Responders is an incredible organisation, whose dedicated supporters have saved countless lives over the past ten years. I cannot praise enough these selfless volunteers, who give so much of their time and effort towards helping others.”
