Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, took part in a Bilbrook Litter Pick with Bilbrook Parish Council and Friends of Bilbrook group.
The volunteers met at Bilbrook Village Hall and spent two hours going down every road in Bilbrook, collecting rubbish.
The litter pick group had 21 volunteers β the highest number of volunteers so far β take part over two hours, with a total of 23 bags of rubbish collected. Amongst the volunteers were 6 members of the Bilbrook and Codsall Scout group.
Volunteers were rewarded with cups of tea in the village hall for their efforts after the litter pick had finished.
Gavin said: βIt is wonderful to see so many residents out supporting their local community and taking pride in our local area. I was very impressed that we managed to cover every street in Bilbrook and the amount of litter we collected. The volunteers should be very proud of their efforts and I would like to thank Bilbrook Parish Council and the Friends of Bilbrook group for organising a great morning.β
