Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, took part in Remembrance Sunday at St. Nicholas Church, in Codsall, over the weekend.
Gavin gave the Second Reading from Ephesians at the service.
Following the ceremony, he joined the procession to the nearby War Memorial, where he lay a wreath of remembrance for those who died in service to their country.
Speaking of Remembrance Sunday, Gavin said: “Remembrance Sunday is an opportunity for us all to commemorate the incredible bravery displayed by the local young men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
“These people fought not just to protect our nation, but also their family and their friends, selflessly committing the ultimate sacrifice so that others could live. Many of our soldiers still fight abroad today and this is also a time to mark their courage, as they struggle to make the world a better place.”
