Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, visited Perton Sandown School last week to talk to pupils about his role as an MP.
Students at the school are currently studying law, order and parliament and quizzed Gavin on his role as a Member of Parliament, helping them to better understand what parliament is and how it influences daily life.
Gavin was faced with a variety of questions ranging from what he did during the day in Westminster and how much he was paid.
The school also presented their money raised from Children in Need to the charity. The pupils raised £430 for the charity which helps many different causes in the UK and around the world.
On his visit to the school, Gavin said: “I greatly enjoyed my visit to visit Perton Sandown to talk to students about my role as a Member of Parliament. It was great to see how enthusiastic they were about learning more about politics both about local issues and also how politics works in Westminster.
“I was also very proud to watch pupils hand over their cheque to Children In Need. It was really wonderful to see all the hard work that the children had put into the fundraising and I am sure that it will benefit many valuable causes.”
