Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, attended the Perton Carnival on Bank Holiday Monday.
The carnival featured a vast range of activities, including face painting, craft stalls, fairground rides, a bouncy castle and a carnival procession.
Gavin took part in the carnival procession, which set off from Perton library around and went all the way round the Parkway.
Gavin awarded the trophy for the costumes on parade with Star Wars and Dalmatians winning prizes for the best costume.
Gavin said: It was wonderful to meet all the visitors and other stall holders at the carnival. I was extremely impressed by the range of entertainment on offer and, with the size of the crowds and especially the costumes on parade. Many thanks, as always, must go to the fantastic organising committee who work so hard for many months putting on a great family day out.”
