Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, attended Care Home Open Day at Holbeche House.
Gavin visited Holbeche House to celebrate Care Home Open Day on Friday 17th June. Holbeche House welcomed the public and arranged activities and events that help to create lasting links between care home residents and their local communities. Some of the activities included a ‘Bake Off’ cake decorating competition, a ‘Gardener’s World’ best vegetable competition, Indian head massages, and palm readings.
Care Home Open Day is a nationwide initiative which invites care homes to open their doors to their neighbours, raising awareness of the role that they play in our community and the tireless work of the staff who run them.
After his visit, Gavin commented: “I was delighted to celebrate Care Home Open Day at Holbeche House. I think it is fantastic that care home events such as this work to connect residents to their local communities and enrich the lives of those residents.”
