Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, is urging BT to improve broadband services in Swindon.
Swindon residents mentioned the issue in response to a residents’ survey that Gavin recently sent out in the area.
Gavin has raised their concerns with the Chief Executive of BT and questioned if the company has any future plans to upgrade internet connectivity in the area.
Gavin said: “Good broadband connectivity is vital for many residents and businesses in South Staffordshire. There is no adequate reason why broadband connectivity in villages or rural areas should not be as good as it is in urban areas.
“The price of internet is the same no matter where you are located, so the level of service provided should be too. I would urge BT and other service providers to ensure everything is being done to improve connectivity in areas such as Swindon and ensure that those living and working in the area do not lose out.”
