Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire has again called on London Midland to provide a better service to passengers who use Codsall and Bilbrook railway stations on their daily commute.
Gavin has repeatedly urged London Midland to provide more regular services after the number of passengers, who commute to cities such as Wolverhampton and Birmingham, have increased considerably over the last ten years.
The current frequency of trains running through the area at peak time is currently at one per hour which frustrates those commuters who use stations in Bilbrook and Codsall.
He has also suggested to the Chief Executive of the company to add more carriages to the four carriage diesel run trains which already are overcrowded with commuters each day.
Commenting on the situation Gavin said: “The number of passengers using Codsall and Bilbrook stations has almost quadrupled in the last 10 years and that surely shows there is a considerable demand for the service and the need for a more regular services or at the very least, additional carriages for people in order to commute in relative comfort.
“I am seeing more and more complaints from constituents who pay a lot of money for season tickets who have to put up with these less than acceptable conditions. I hope that London Midland will once again review this situation and address the changes that need to be made.”
