Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, attended the Wombourne Methodist Church Christmas Bazaar at Wombourne Community Centre, last weekend.
The event, which took place on Saturday, had many stalls which sold a variety of homemade items ranging from Christmas decorations to cakes and biscuits.
In addition to the craft and food stalls, local historical society the Wombourne History Group sold their new book, ‘Made In Wombourne’, which details the history behind the largest village in England.
After viewing the stalls and their Christmas decorations, Gavin was presented with a bouquet of flowers in thanks for coming to visit the show.
Gavin said: “I had a wonderful time at the Wombourne Bazaar this weekend. The stalls on offer were fantastic and it was clear that a lot of effort had gone into organising the event. It was great to see the whole community come together and get involved and it certainly got me into the Christmas spirit. I hope the bazaar raised a lot of money, which is going to a great cause.”
