Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, attended the re-launch of Living in Loveliness in Essington on Saturday 7th March.
Due to the popularity of the shop, Living in Loveliness has relocated to St. John's Hall in Essington where they provide craft workshops and bespoke craft service where they also stock the products of local crafters and have a brand craft café.
The shop also offers a platform for local crafters to showcase and sell their products. The main focus of the business is to be a community facility, bringing people together in a relaxed environment whilst promoting the art of old fashioned crafts to customers of all ages.
They also run a variety of small community based workshops and craft sessions for children. There is also the opportunity for people who are who new to the art of crafting to learn a new skill under the guide of those who have been crafting for years. Heritage craft days take place on the first Saturday of each month which celebrates the cultural heritage of crafting.
Commenting on the event Gavin said: “I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the new premises of Living in Loveliness. It is fantastic to see how popular the business has become in the community which was evident by the amount of people that visited the re-launch day. The range of events on offer for all ages is wonderful and it is an excellent environment for local crafters across South Staffordshire to come together, sell their products and teach those who wish to learn more about the skill of crafting. I wish the staff continued success in their re-launch.”
Living in Loveliness is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 till 5pm, Tuesday from 9-3pm and Saturday from 10-5pm.
